The wall of the urinary bladder should not be > 3 mm thick when distended and not > 5 mm thick when decompressed. The thickened wall could be due to the edema (swelling) of the wall which can happen due to the inflammation(cystitis) or the thickening could be due to the deposition of urinary sediments on the walls of the bladder. These are the 2 commonest causes. Bladder cancer is another cause. Generally if you are diagnosed with thickening of the bladder you will be sent to a urologist and have a cystoscopy performed.
Distended upper abdomen can be caused by bloating, gas, constipation, or underlying conditions such as gastritis, gastric outlet obstruction, or liver disease. It's important to consult a healthcare provider for proper diagnosis and treatment.

A partially distended gallbladder means that the gallbladder is not completely full or swollen but is moderately inflated with bile or other fluids. This condition can be seen on imaging studies like ultrasound and may indicate an underlying gallbladder issue, such as inflammation or blockage of the bile ducts. Medical evaluation is usually needed to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.

Cystic is an adjective meaning related to the urinary bladder or gallbladder. Words used to describe a bladder include urinary, distended, leaky, and neurogenic.
A distended urinary bladder refers to a bladder that is enlarged or stretched beyond its usual capacity due to the accumulation of urine. It can be caused by conditions such as urinary retention, bladder outlet obstruction, or neurological problems affecting bladder function. Symptoms may include pain, urinary hesitancy, and a firm, bulging lower abdomen.
urinary retention is when the urinary bladder is unable to empty. This can be due to either an acute or chronic condition. The bladder muscle gets stretched beyond the point of having enough strength to contract and allow the bladder to empty. Sometimes common medications contribute to the problem.
You have the sense to urinate when the nerves on the bladder wall feel pressure. When an animal has a blockage and the bladder becomes full and distended the bladder then stretches. When the blockage is removed the bladder has now lost some of it's ability o contract to normal size thus taking away some of the sensation of the need to urinate. This causes the bladder to only partially express during urination leaving urine in the bladder. This could lead to bacterial infections due to standing urine in the bladder.
The bladder only "partially" voids if you are a male with extreme prostatic enlargement - it is very difficult to completely empty the bladder under those circumstances. Otherwise, when you use the bathroom, your bladder generally voids completely.
If the fish has distended sides and belly and sometimes seems to have swim bladder problems. Then it may have 'bloat'.
