David Sarnoff, the President of NBC (National Broadcasting Company) and RCA introduced television to the public. While England and Germany already had TV broadcasts on the air, the United States still did not, so being able to see some TV programs at the World's Fair was fascinating to many Americans. The station that debuted there went on to be known as WNBT, the official television station of NBC in New York.
