A mass number is the sum of numbers of protons and neutrons in an atom. Therefore, an element with a mass number of 65 and 36 neutrons contains (65 - 36) or 29 protons and is therefore an atom of copper.

This element should have 20 protons, hence this should be calcium. Though there doesn't exist such an calcium atom with 36 neutrons.

What element has 41 neutrons 36 protons 36 electrons charge unknown?

The element is determined by the atomic number - the number of protons in the nucleus. In this case, element 36 is Krypton. The mass is the sum of protons and neutrons in the nucleus. Here we have a mass of 77, and a quick check confirms that an isotope of Krypton with a mass of 77 does indeed exist.

What is the mass number of an atom of copper that has 36 neutrons?

the mass number is merely the atomic number (or the number of protons) plus the number of neutrons the mass number of copper with 36 neutrons is 65

What element has a mass number of 65 neutrons 36 and a 1 charge?

Atomic number = 65 - 36 = 29The element with 29 protons is copper, Cu.The ion of the isotope is thus 36Cu+

What is the formula for finding the amount of neutrons in an element?

The number of neutrons equals the atomic mass (MA) minus the atomic number (XA). (#neutrons=MA-XA). The neutrons can be calculated in this manner because neutrons hold significant mass in the atom. The molar mass featured for a particular element in periodic tables is actually the average of the atomic masses of the elements' numerous isotopes (elements with extra neutrons than normal). So, by subtracting this mass by the atomic number (the number of protons), you will get a value that is very close to actual number of neutrons for that average element.

How many neutrons does Krytpon-82 have?

The answer to how many neutrons an atom of an isotope has is always the difference between the mass number of the isotope and the atomic number of the element. The atomic number of krypton is 36. Therefore, an atom of krypton-82 has 46 neutrons.

What is the atomic mass of argon-36?

An isotope is an atom with a different number of neutrons. The number of neutrons is the only particle that changes. Electrons will stay the same. Therefore, the number of electrons is the same as the atomic number, which is 18.

How many neutrons are in 36Cl?

The way to work this out is this:The 36 in 36CL relates to its atomic mass while the atomic number of CL is 17.The atomic mass of an atom's isotope is directly proportional to the total number of protons and neutrons in its nucleus. While the the atomic number of an atom/element is directly proportional to the number of protons in the nucleus. Therefore if you subtract the atomic number from the atomic mass you end up with the number of neutrons in the nucleus. In this case 36-17=19So there are 19 neutrons in 36CL

How many subatomic particles does krypton have?

What is the mass number of Gallium-72?

Gallium is a non metal. It is a p block element. It has a mass number of 36.

Which trem describes the sum of the number of protons and neutrons in an atom?

"Atomic mass" is the sum of the number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus of the atom. All atoms of an element have the same number of protons. For example, all iron atoms have 26 protons. But while most (90%) have 30 neutrons, there are isotopes of iron that have anywhere from 26 to 36 neutrons. So the published "atomic mass" is the weighted average of the combined number of protons and neutrons. That's why the atomic number is always a whole number, but the atomic mass is a decimal.

How many neutrons are in the nucleus of an atom that has an atomic mass of 36 and atomic number of 25?

That's Manganese and it has (about) 30 neutrons - - - - BUT your question would have an answer of 11.
