It means pointing to someone. A way to get the attention on someone (usually someone who you have not talked to for a while). To show someone your thinking of them, like winking but over the internet. To say hello. It's just a super special way to say hello. Be sure to poke them back.

Well there is a new profile on Facebook so,

You simply go on the persons wall that you want to poke.

Then underneath "Account" on the right hand side at the top.

It'll have a button saying "Poke".

Then.. You click it.

Done! You've successfully poked someone.

Or.. If someone has poked you. Just go on your homepage (Home)

And on the right hand side somewhere it'll say "Pokes"

And have a list of the friends that have poked you. You simply press "Poke back"
