After a solstice, heading towards the following Equinox, the rate of change gradually increases, up to around 4 minutes a day around the Equinox. If you plotted the lengths of day in daylight hours versus day of year, it would look like a sine wave with a peak at the summer solstice and a trough at the winter solstice.
