What other substances can you find that do not follow the general rules of density?

It isn't clear - to me at least - what "general rules" you are talking about. Density is simply defined as mass divided by volume; this applies to any substance.

What effects air pressure and density?

Volume and Temperature. Higher temperature increases pressure and decreases density. Lower temperature decreases pressure and increases density. (Except with water, in which case ice is less dense than liquid water. [Keep in mind that vapor is still less dense than liquid and follows the rules.] This is the only exception known to me). Higher volume decreases pressure and increases density. Lower volume increases pressure and decreases density.

What are different examples of types of density?

What is the difference of relative density and density?

DENSITY : density is the ratio of mass and volume of the substance density=mass/volume RELATIVE DENSITY : It is the ratio of density of a substance to the density of water

What is the mass of a sample divided by its volume?

Its density. Density is mass per unit volume.

Comparing the density of a liquid to the density of water is?

This is the determination of the specific density (the ratio liquid density/water density).

Is using a golf ball that has been heated prior to starting play legal within the rules of golf?

Yes, ball temperature has nothing to do with it, unless your ball loses density through heating. If that, then no.

If the relative density of gold is 19.3 what would be its density?

relative density is related to the density of water. i.e. a relative density of 19.3 means that it has a density 19.3 times the density of water. The density of water is 1g/ml therefore the density of gold is 19.3g/ml

How do you convert cubic grams and gram per liter?

Not sure what a cubic gram is. Grams per litre is simple a measure of density. Whatever cubic grams is, it is not a measure of density and so these two measure different things. Therefore, according to the rules of elementary dimensional analysis, conversion from one to the other is not valid.
