Metric and customary measurements are similar in the way that they both are used to measure things. They differ though, in the scale they use and the way that they measure.

The metric system uses newtons for basic force unit and kg for the basic mass unit. The U. S. Customary System uses the lb for the basic force unit and slugs for the basic mass unit.
