How can you cure a sore throat?

There are lots of ways you can cure a sore throat - and many of them don't involve medicine or going to see a doctor. I used to suffer from a chronic sore throat for many years until I was referred to a speech therapist. She taught me many tools to prevent sore throats as well as steps to take when I do have a sore throat. When you already have a throat that is hurting, gargle with warm water (some say also use salt, but she didn't recommend that) several times a day. Limit the amount of talking you do, especially in a high pitched voice often used to talk to babies or pets. Use a humidifier at night to add moisture to the air. Drink lots of water with lemon and drink tea with lemon and/or honey. Also, avoid caffeine because it dries out the throat. Hope you feel better soon!
