Apparently, Michael Landon's real life son, Albert, died of a car accident so, Michael
made Albert Ingalls in tribute to his son.

∙ 11y agoMany people do not know this, but Albert did in fact exist. He was not adopted by the Ingalls, but was a farm hand to help Laura's Pa on the farm. He was treated like a member of the family. Albert died very young at roughly ages 18-21.
