Yes u should, I did that about a year ago and I got the same tingly feeling and the doctor said it's ok. And you'll be alright

The pain is normal for up to two weeks. If there is a tingling sensation though that may mean that the doctor nicked your the nerve that runs along the jaw, that might not ever go away.

What causes a tingling sensation in the tongue that comes and goes?
It can be too much smoking or you may have a tooth that is irritating your tongue (jagged edge.) Sometimes if we are stressed out our taste buds (on the surface of the tongue) can have a pH level problem. It usually goes away so I wouldn't worry about it. If you haven't been to the dentist then go. If it continues please see your doctor.

One possible answer is Meralgia paresthetica, which usually results from compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.
