Mercon dexron
According to the 2002 Ford Mustang Owner Guide : 3.8 liter manual transmission fluid ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) 4.6 liter manual transmission fluid ( Motorcraft synthetic MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
there is none, it uses the same one in front
On the 2002 Rodeo the transmission is sealed and is non servicable by the owner. You cannot even check the fluid level so I advise taking it to an Isuzu repair shop.
I heard someone comment that it has a "sealed" transmission, therefore, a dealer has to add fluid. I own a 2002 Isuzu axiom. they don't have a dipstick but they do have a holding tank on the right side you check and add fluid there.
on the left side of the transmission is a sensor. carefully remove it and pump/squeeze fluid in that opening up to the bottom of the hole. replace sensor.
dextron or mercon III, you have to pump it in from the bottom.
According to the 2002 Ford Mustang Owner Guide : The automatic transmission fluid used with the 4.6 liter SOHC , V8 engine is : ( Motorcraft MERCON - V , automatic transmission fluid ) * the type used should be engraved in the dipstick , or printed on the dipstick handle , just to confirm *
1992 - 2002 Isuzu Troopers have the GM 4L30E transmission. There is no dipstick. There is no fill tube. The only way to add fluid or check the fluid level of the transmission is through the fill plug in the transmission pan. The transmission fill plug is situated above the fluid level of the "sump" area of the pan. Add fluid by pumping it into the fill plug and let any excess drain out. You'll know it's topped off when the fluid stops pouring out.
For a 2002 Ford Mustang , 5 speed manual transmission : With the 3.8 liter V6 engine ( 2.8 U.S. quarts of Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) With the 4.6 L , V8 ( 4.0 quarts of SYNTHETIC MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
The Isuzu has a sealed transmission. It has a transmission fill plug on the side of the transmission above the pan, I believe on the right side of the trans case about midway the case body. Take the pan off remove and change filter. Add fluid by using an inexpensive pump until the fluid starts to run out the fill plug hole. Replace the plug. Job done.
you can't it is a sealed unit. will never have another vehicle with a sealed trans. only way is to have it serviced.
