Yes, the foreskin is there for a good reason. In the first place when a boy is born the glans penis are not yet fully developed and are still attached (like a fingernails attached) to the glans. This separated in time at which point it protects the very sensitive glans against being desensitised and dried out. it is a major erogenous zone in its own right and in cooperation with the glans makes sex and masturbation a more pleasurable experience. it also makes the sexual experience for the woman more pleasant and protect the penis against invasion by foreign materials /bacteria/contaminants. There are many more reasons why the foreskin is a good thing
