Best Answer

No. There is no credible evidence that small amounts of fluoride are harmful.

Almost all dental products contain fluoride and some places even have a tiny amount added into water.

Fluoride makes your teeth stronger and more resistant to acid and carious damage. It is also antibacterial. Therefore it is recommended by dentists and is good for your teeth in correct concentrations.

Excessive concentrations can be toxic and stain your teeth, but these are not normally found. Correctly used fluoride is a very safe chemical.

Why are some people's teeth harder than others?

IF this is about why some get more cavities than others, it's usually NOT about their teeth being harder. The main drivers behind getting cavities or not are eating habits - frequent snacking is bad - and body chemistry. The pH of your saliva has a big influence on your mouth health. Acidic saliva - bad for teeth. Alkaline saliva - good for teeth. Brushing and flossing regularly also help teeth health.
