He plays Gerard McCarthy, one of the four kids of the close-knit Boston family, who is a youth Basketball coach with anger issues. He is also a twin, though his twin brother Sean, is much larger than he is (and played by actor Jimmy Dunn).
The sitcom is about their other brother Ronny (Tyler Ritter, John Ritter's son), a gay man whose proposed move to Providence is met with Horror by his family, led by Laurie Metcalf and Jack McGee and also featuring Kelen Coleman.
