∙ 18y agoyes the points will be assessed. you have to mail the money to the different state/county/whatever or you might be able to do it online by credit card. i think it affects your insurance same as if you were speeding in your state.

∙ 18y agoThe car insurance in Georgia is much cheaper than the insurance in Florida. Florida has some of the highest car insurance in the nation.

"Will 'no contest' pleas for speeding be reported to your insurance company?" No contest or Nolo Contendere is basically the same a a guilty plea and is treated exactly the same for drivers license and auto insurance points. In most states the only difference is that the plea cannot be used against you in a civil suit. In Georgia you can use this plea once every five years and no drivers license points will be assessed but insurance points will. You would need to check the laws in your state but normally this in of no use in a speeding ticket case. lwpathttp://www.speedingticketcentral.com
How can I get a speeding ticket. Removed from my mvr in the state of georgia
== == If you hold a Florida driver's license, a conviction in another state will NOT go on your Florida record. It WILL go on your INSURANCE record. Actually - referring to GA laws - they will report the offense back to your home state. That means it will go on your Fl driving record just as if you received the ticket in Florida. On top of that - all points will be assessed based on the Fl point system and you CANNOT take a class to wipe off the points when you receive an out of state ticket. It sucks big time. I suggest not speeding next time...i learned the hard way.
Couple options 1. pay the ticket 2. Go to court in Georgia and contest it. 3. If you don't do either you will most likely have a warrant out for your arrest in Georgia for failure to pay fines.
