Yes, the clicking is the starter, but there's probably nothing wrong with it. Your battery doesn't have enough juice to turn the starter motor (draws lots of current), but still has enough to turn on the lights and accessories. Try jump starting it or trickle charge the battery.
Just clicking
fuse box will be in or under the glove box and the fuse will be blow stopping dash lights from coming on .
A couple of things to troubleshoot here first: 1. Do the car's lights work? Not the interior light, the headlights. If the headlights don't work or they go completely dim when you turn the key, your battery is dead.
The alternator generates electricity, so it's not part of the starting system, which uses the stored electricity in the battery. If the lights work, the battery must be pretty well ok. The starter might be stuck, or it might have failed.
If the lights in the car come on, then at least part of the system is getting power. Check the battery connections again. Then check the starter solenoid and starter to insure that they are getting power and are working properly.
most likely tha starter is bad or the power to the starter is bad
If the dash lights come on, but the engine won't start, check the starter. There could also be a problem with the fuel line or the spark plugs. If the engine turns over, but won't start, check all of the fuel sensors. If the motor has a clicking or buzzing sound, check the alternator.
The battery has insufficient power to crank the engine but enough power to power the lights. The starter motor needs considerably more power than the headlight bulbs.
You usually can suspect that the starter is bad if you turn the ignition key and nothing happens. You hear a clicking sound but the engine does not turn over. The dash lights should come on.

Could be: Seized engine Weak battery loose or corroded battery cables Bad starter solenoid Bad starter Bad neutral or clutch safety switch
I just had the same problem .It was my starter if i hit it with a hammer it would start
stater or silanoid
The starter may be at fault.
The problem is most likely a bad connection between the starter and the power source or a bad starter itself. Does the car make a clicking noise when you turn the key to the start position? Does the engine try to rotate over or rotate very slowly? Do the headlights/interior lights dim a lot when you try to crank it over?
key reader in steering column.
Do lights come on when turning ignition on? If so, then you have a bad starter/solenoid/relay. If not then, you may have a bad battery or connection or ground.
