After 16 years of dealing with above-ground pools of all styles, the simple answer is : Basic painted steel - 5 to 10 years. Steel/Resin hybrid - 8 to 15 years. All aluminium - 12 to 25 years. There is low end and high end quality in each category. Do your homework. More importantly the lower age is when problems start to arise, (rusting or dissolving parts), not the end life of the pool. Most important pH/alkaline balance of the water, avoid over chlorination, and watch out for wall damage, (lawnmower/kids throwing stones).

It all depends. On average about 5 to 10 years. To wxtend the life I would recommend putting a bypass on it so water isn't continuously running through as this can cause cavitational corrosion especially if the water is kept not properly balanced.

The swimming pool heater service usually takes about 1 to 2 hours. This of course can change if you have a larger heater.
