a client's quantity surveyor will act on behalf of the client to ensure value for money and check the accuracy of the relevant contractors applications for payment. The building contractors quantity surveyor will be responsible for the appointment of sub contractors accounts and ensuring that there applications for payment are reasonable and accurate and also dealing with any variations that occur.
