The actual adjustment screw can only be turned out or in about an inch and a quarter but that will raise or lower the truck about 2 or 3 inches. The adjustment screws are located under the truck approximately under the front seats and adjusts a cam attached to the end of trailing edge of the torsion bar.

Crawl under the truck. Look at the torsion bars (if you can't find the torsion bars, just take it to a shop and have them do it). The torsion bars will have a bolt at each end; take those bolts out. You might want to have the frame held up with jackstands when you do that, I'm not entirely sure how much the torsion bars are involved in keeping the truck from falling on your face (probably a lot).

depends. i have a 93 Chevy cheyenne half ton 4x4 with oversized tires. if you have a 4x4 they'll prolly fit but you might have to crank your torsion bars up in the front. if you have a 2wd then they most likely wont because the suspension sits lower in the front and you cant crank torsion bars on them. id go with 31's if anything because if you mud with the truck they wont hit or rub much at all and they still look nice with the torsion bars cranked a little.

The torsion bars run from the lower control arms to a crossmember almost under the seat area of truck. There are adjusting bolts at the end of the bars that push up an arm to lift and lowers to lower. Tightening the bolt lifts the truck and loosening bolt lowers the truck. Please note that if you crank up bars too much this will greatly affect alignment, steering and is hard on the drive axles. If you do lift it a little then you should always have alignment checked afterwards
