The times I can think of that Jesus wept are when he was grieving for Lazarus, and when he was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane.

There are at least 2 recordings of Jesus weeping. One when seeing Jerusalem in Luke 19:41 and what some call the shortest verse in the Scriptures, John 11:35 at the tomb of Lazarus.

More importantly than the fact that Christ was human and did weep, is why did He weep. In particular, at the tomb of the dead Lazarus, Jesus wept at the LACK OF FAITH of these close disciples who saw and heard of all His miracles in the past 3 1/2 year ministry.

As God, Christ knew Jerusalem would soon be destroyed by the Romans in 66-70 AD. Jerusalem is called the City of Peace yet has barely known it. But in the Millennium, it will become 'World Headquarters' for the Government of God. Afterwards, a New Jerusalem on a New Earth will have the tabernacle of God with man centered in this city.
