∙ 11y ago500 meters equals just less then 550 yards. 550 divided by 25 is 22. You would have to swim about 22 laps in a 25 yard pool to swim 500 meters.

∙ 11y agoit depends on the length of the pool. if the pool is 25 meters, you have to swim 40 laps. For 50 meters, 20 laps. For 100 m, 10 laps. For 200 meters, 5 laps.
Each lap in a pool is 25 meters. There are 1600 meters in a mile. 25m x 20 laps = 500 meters. You would need to swim 64 laps to make a mile. Therefore 20 laps is 0.31 miles.
Many tracks are 400 meters around. That would make it 7.5 laps.
There are 1,609.344 meters in a mile. When 1 length = 1 lap, you would need to complete 64.3 laps to swim a mile.

800 meters
84.48 laps
A mile is 1600m. So you would need to do 64 lengths to have done 1 mile.Which is 32 laps.32 Laps (down and back) = 1 mile64 Lengths ( 64 lengths X 25 meters/length = 1600 = 1 mile)Technically a mile is 1609 meters so you'd need to swim about 64.36 lengths if you absolutely must get to one mile exactly. There are 1,609.344 meters in a mile. Since there is confusion on what a "lap" is, I will include both a one length and two length answer. When 1 length = 1 lap, you would need to complete 64.3 laps for a mile (I would stop at 64 and call it a mile)When 2 lengths = 1 lap, you would need to complete 32.18 laps for a mile64. I think.1609 / 25 = 64 laps
You would need to swim 480 meters to equal .3 miles. One lap, across and back, would be 50 meters. 9 laps across and back would be 450 meters. One more across would be 475 meters. So 10 laps for good measure.
Well your answer will depend on which pool you are swimming in. First let me define a lap as one length of the pool, so to go down and back is 2 laps. 25 yard pool - 132 laps = 3300 yards = 1.875 miles 25 meter pool - 128 laps = 3200 meters = 1.989 miles 50 meter pool - 64 laps = 3200 meters = 1.989 miles There you go. I know 1.875 is a bit off, but in competitive swimming 1650 yards is considered "the mile".
The same number of meters as on land......... But if you want to know how many lengths it is about 64 or 32 laps (there and back). 1 mile is 1609.344 meters. So you would have to go 64.37 laps in a 25M pool. 1609.344/25 meters.
It depends on the pool size One lap is one length of the pool. In a 25 meter pool, you need to swim about 64 laps to the mile. In a 50 meter pool, you need to swim about 32 laps to the mile. In a 25 yard pool you need to swim about 70 laps to the mile.
