You should only take antibiotics that are prescibed by a doctor. If you decide to take someone else's antibiotics, you may cause yourself some real problems. The reason why is because if you do not take the correct cycle, you will kill the bacteria in your body that are most sensative to the antibiotic, but not the ones that have a resistance to it. The remaining antibiotic-resistant bacteria will multiply and then you will have to take an even longer cycle of antibiotics to get rid of it. If you end that cycle prematurely you may become very sick.

Some antibiotics you can take twice a day. once in the morning and once in the evening. Any more than that will not do you any good because you will just end up peeing most of it out.

How long does the antibiotic take to work to get rid of chlamydia?

You need to take the full course of the antibiotics given to you. This is stated on the instruction sheet. Oh man, that sucks that you have bladder infection, or someone you know does. I had bladder problems to, with my kidneys. :( sad day. But, if the doctor prescribed you with antibiotics, I would say that it would heal if you followed the directions of how much you should take a day or hour and if you follow those directions, it should be healed as soon as your doctor takes you off the antibiotics. :) But Im no doctor so I am not sure. Just keep taking the pills. :) -MooMay17

Does an ear ache need an antibiotic?

There are alternative remedies for healing a ear infection. When my son was a baby he got chronic ear infections his first year of life. He was placed on antibiotic after antibiotic. Our last visit to the Dr. he told me that if it didnt clear up he would have to get tubes in his ears and prescribed him a stronger antibiotic. In the treatment room there was a poster on the wall about how antibiotics were being over prescribed for ear infections and was in fact causing them to reoccur. I wonder if the Dr. ever read that poster? With that new knowledge I searched out an alternative way. I decided not to give him antibiotics at all. Instead I gave him a daily dose of cod liver oil, a couple of drops of colloidal silver in the infected ears 3x a day, and dose of colloidal silver orally 3 times a day. I did that for a week and when we went back to the Dr. my son had no sign of an ear infection and he never got one again! If you dont want to take antibiotics search out an alternative. If you dont care either way just take the meds.

If you were put on antibiotics, and you are supposed to take one tablet, four times a day, then take them every 6 hours. This will be four tablets, in a 24 hour period. You can always ask your doctor to confirm.
