Not sure if you are asking how long before your BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) go back to zero or to you getting sober, in this case meaning how long before you're safe to drive and take a Breathalyzer and pass. .08 is legally under the influence to drive a motor vehicle in every state in the U.S. . If this is your question, then you would want to dedicate 2 hours for each drink consumed, so 6 hours in your case, assuming that each glass had 5 oz. of wine (the average served at most establishments) and also to be considered as one drink as far as BAC are concerned.

If your are asking how long does it stay in your system as far as long term, 2 days is considered enough to pass a urine test. I have heard of some urine test that can detect ethanol up to 80 hours after last ingestion, but these test are rarely used as they are expensive and only used for certain jobs . So 80 hours I would assume is how long it actually lingers in the body, but 6 hours to get sober. Hope this helps.

I am not a health care professional. I am only giving you facts based on what I learned from classes I took after receiving a DUI.

On average it takes the body 3 hours to metabolize one ounce of wine. Therefore, a standard five ounce glass of wine will be in your system for approximately 15 hours.

It takes about an hour for the body to metabolize one standard drink (five ounces of dinner wine).

The alcohol in wine that is consumed is metabolized at the rate of .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) every hour. Thus a person with a very high BAC of .15 will have no measurable alcohol in the bloodstream after ten hours (.15 divided by .015 = 10).

That depends on the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) that occurs, which depends on how quickly you consume the wine, your gender, whether you have food in your stomach, etc. However, the BAC drops at a fairly constant rate of .015 of BAC per hour. Thus, a very high BAC of .15 would take ten hours, whereas a BAC of .075 would take five hours to return to 0.00 BAC.

It usually takes me about 2 hours to no longer feel the buzz from an alcoholic drink. So i would imagine that most of the alcohol is out of my system by then
