You have to pull 1/2 your line thru the little hole and wind it one way and wind the other 1/2 the other way on the other side. It takes a little practice to know how much line to cut to start with, but a couple good arm lengths for each side is a good start
It is easy to string a dual line Remington trimmer by following the instructions in the manual. The manual was supplied with the trimmer when purchased.
I use .155" for my push-style trimmer (Echo Bearcat). I'd like something thicker, but haven't yet found anything.
Wind the line clockwise on spool holding the bump knot in the palm of your hand, twist bump knob so that the line goes on clockwise this is according the the dealer
To replace the weed trimmer line on a string trimmer, follow these steps: Turn off the trimmer and disconnect the power source. Remove the spool housing by pressing the tabs or unscrewing the cap. Take out the old line and cut a new piece to the appropriate length. Insert the new line into the trimmer head following the arrows for the correct direction. Reassemble the spool housing and test the trimmer.
To restring a Ryobi string trimmer, first remove the spool from the trimmer head. Cut a length of new trimmer line, thread it through the holes in the spool, and wind it evenly around the spool. Reinsert the spool into the trimmer head, and feed the line through the trimmer head eyelets. Finally, secure the spool back in place and trim any excess line.
To perform a Ryobi trimmer string replacement, first turn off the trimmer and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the spool cover and take out the old string spool. Cut a new piece of trimmer line to the appropriate length and insert it into the spool. Wind the new line evenly onto the spool in the direction indicated on the spool. A line trimmer, also known as a string trimmer, is used to trim grass or weeds. The piece of equipment also goes by the name of a weed eater, or weed whacker.
To reload the line on your Ryobi string trimmer, first remove the spool from the trimmer head. Cut a length of new trimmer line, usually around 10 feet, and insert one end into the spool's center hole. Wind the line evenly and tightly around the spool in the direction indicated on the spool. Leave a few inches of line unwound, then thread the line through the trimmer head's eyelet. Reassemble the spool onto the trimmer head, ensuring the line feeds through the head properly.
You don't buy DUAL trimmer line. It's just regular line. What makes it dual is the way it's wound up inside your bummer head. Open it and follow the arrows inside. You pull the line 1/2 way thru, then wind one end one way and the other end the opposite direction.
