There are several things to try. The trick is to find something that won't also dissolve the plastic, particularly since we don't know what kind of plastic it is. Try it on an inconspicuous area first. Rubbing alcohol might work and is unlikely to hurt the plastic. Terpene-based compounds would be a good second choice if the rubbing alcohol doesn't do anything. Try one of those orange or eucalyptus oil cleaners. Again, not too likely to hurt the plastic. Fingernail polish remover (generally a mixture of acetone and ethyl acetate) will probably work but is more likely to damage the plastic. Butanone (methyl ethyl ketone) will almost certainly work; however, it's also a pretty good solvent and will probably cause some damage.
knock off sharpie markers named such to possibly get around trademark infringement laws. They are suprisingly well built but they do draw a thicker line than a authentic sharpie marker due to the felt being softer. Also, the shoupie cap will not fit a sharpie marker.
There are toxic chemicals that are released from the markers that can kill your brain cells and get you addicted to the smell and the feeling that they give off. Sharpies have the same effect. One teenage boy tried to get high off of a sharpie marker and was killed because of extreme damage to his brain.
