Xerxes, King of Armenia, died in August 466 BC. He recognized Antiochus as his sovereign and received his sister Antiochia as his bride. She assassinated him. In 465 BCE, Xerxes of Persia was assassinated, most likely by the order of one of his sons. Artaxerxes is believed to have been behind the assassination. Whether or not he ordered the assasination, he took the throne following his father's death.
