3rd Life: UNKNOWN, they seemed to have skipped out on it.
4th Life: He died to the Rat Leader in (Firestars Quest)
5th Life: He was CRUSHED by a TREE (Dawn)
6th Life: He got sick with greencough and succumbed to it.
7th Life: He died to a fox. (The Fourth Apprentice)
8th Life: RussetFur killed him. (Fading Echoes)

he died from wounds. the tree just brought dovewing back to reality like anonymous said. i think it signaled when firestar died because the tree caught on fire by the lightning then was immediately put out by rain
Firestar lost his first life defending ThunderClan from a pack of dogs by falling from a cliff. He lost his second life when he fought Tigerstar in a battle to defend ThunderClan. His third life was lost when he was bitten by a venomous snake while saving ThunderClan from a group of hostile cats.

Well, in Warrior Cats, Darkest Hour, Scourge took all 9lives from Tigerstar with one blow, and if Brambleclaw had decided to kill Firestar with the fox trap, that would have taken all of his lives. So there is a way that the leaders lose all of their remaining lives.

In the BloodClan fight, he lost one, and in the end, Blackstar gets his 9 lives, while Firestar only has 8 lives left.
