The AKC Breed Standard is 17 - 20 inches at the shoulder. The weight ranges from 30 to 45 pounds. I have a female that weighs 37 pounds at 19 inches tall and a male that weighs 45 at 19 inches tall.
An Australian Cattle Dog can be at about 35 to 40 pounds by the time it is grown. The males often are bigger. Some grow to be tall and skinny and other tend to be short and muscular.
