Only if you fill them with cyanide
The seeds of an apple is known as pips.
Yes cyanide is CN-
Apple seeds contain a cyonogenic chemical that when it reaches your stomach, it reacts with the enzymes and releases hydrogen cyanide, which is very toxic. (This is the same for cherry pits, I think)
Roasted cashews doesn't contain cyanide.
in context... the apple is red, being red is one property of this apple... the apple has pips (seeds) this is another property of the apple. However there are lots of objects that have both pips and are red... so these are not unique to it. yes in short! x
Probably apple pips because they contain cyanide.
Cyanide?
Some animals avoid eating apple seeds (or "pips") as they contain a cyanide called hydrogen cyanide (HCN). For humans, our body can detoxify the cyanide in low amounts. It would take a considerable amount of apple seeds to cause harm.
No, apple pips (seeds) do not contain usable juice. Apple seeds actually contain natural toxins that can be harmful in large quantities.
Apple seeds do NOT contain arsenic, they contain cyanide.
Apple, orange, pears, melon, pommegranet
Yes there is cyanide in apple seeds but it would take many to kill you.
yes, they contain a tiny bit of cyanide
Apple seeds (pips) contain a cyanide compound that is toxic to rabbits (and many other animals). One person wrote:can a scientist tell me is the cyanide in apple pips moredangerous than the cyanide in apricot kernels,Facing real fact the scientist Ernest Krebbs discoveredthat b17,amygladin ,laetrile found in apricot kernelscan only release its cyanide molecule if cancerous cells arein the body where beta glucaside will cause the cyanide molcule to activate and kill cancerous cells.Since i eat10 apricot kernels at breakfast i feel a new man,new energyand as a diabetic i feel i,m getting better.Testimonials from around the world confirm that peopleeating apricot kernels are finding all sorts of cancer going. One report said that a person healed by eating apricot kernels stopped taking them and the cancer returned a few months laterIt just means they have a few chemicals that are deadly to rabbits.
it depends on the ratio of concentration of water to cyanide. it needs to be concentrated to be lethal. for example apple seeds contain cyanide but even if you chew all the seeds in an apple you won't get anything because the concentration of cyanide is low.
Apple seeds contain traces of cyanide which is harmful to dogs. The rest of the apple is perfectly fine for them though.
Apple seeds contain amygdalin, a substance that releases cyanide into the blood stream when chewed and digested. However, apple seeds in small amounts do not contain enough cyanide to cause harm. However, it is better to spit out seeds to avoid any potential issues.
