You should always discuss a preventative deworming plan for your adult dog and your puppies with your veterinarian, do not count on "natural dewormers" as they are not proven effective and these parasites are a serious threat to puppies and humans.

∙ 14y agoBreeding females can pass parasites to their pups both in the womb and through milk, so deworming the female is extremely important. Most of the commonly used dewormers on the market in the US for dogs can be used in pregnant animals, but the specific times to deworm to prevent infection of pups before and right after birth should be discussed with your veterinarian as the recommendations are different for the different deworming drugs.

∙ 12y agoI have very little knowledge of dogs, although i do like them, but i would say it's probably not advisable. Doing anything to a pregnant dog, or any creature, is not advisable, You do not want to risk hindering the development of the pups.
However, it could be completely harmless, i have no idea how to worm a dog.
in short, if in doubt; i would go and see your vet, because i am by no means an expert.

∙ 17y agoBoiled water with salt. When my dog had puppies, we used this to get rid of the puppies' worms. It actually worked on my puppies. They are 4 years old now....I recommend. See your vet for deworming capsules.

∙ 11y agoYes. Use Dawn dish soap and lather her in it and let her soak for 10 minutes. the soap will not harm her and it smothers the fleas. So no harsh chemical for the puppies.
