Look on the appliance's data label. There are many appliances that will allow 50 - 60 Hz operations. Also there should be a 1 -800 number on the back of the operation manual. Call them and ask if the unit can be used on both frequencies.

AnswerAbsolutely no problem whatsoever. Resistive loads (heaters) aren't affected by such frequency differences.

∙ 8y agoFifty Hertz appliances that have strictly resistive loads will not be affected what so ever when connected to a 60 Hertz supply. The problem is that homes in North America use a 120 volt outlets so a dedicated 240 volt circuit will have to be installed and used strictly for the coffee machine. The cost of installing this dedicated circuit will probably cost more that it would to buy a coffee machine that operates on 120 volts.

If you still like to put your clipper to use, then the most cost effective solution would be to get a "car inverter" that would convert 12V DC to 110V/60Hz AC.
