Garlic is safe to eat but it is a case of everything in moderation. Garlic can be fed to young chicks with crop problems to help get the crop moving again so it certainly would not harm an adult bird.

∙ 12y agoYes. You can feed your parrot or parakeet almost anything, just not junk foods(popcorn, Pizza, icecream,), chocolate, or avacados. But always check a reputable site if you doubt food choice. I recommend Bird Channel, which also has a magazine. Have fun with your cockateil!
