Are sloe berries poisonous to horses?

There does not seem to be any information available about whether the berries are toxic, but the bush they grown on can cause ' Blackthorn Infection or Blackthorn Poisoning' if the thorn penetrates the skin of humans or other animal's. Sole berries come from the plant Prunus spinosa which is also called Blackthorn.
