anyone who has grown them will know they are dicot, dicotyledonous, having two separate lobes to the cotyledon or seed-leaf, the store of food that a sprout uses to build its first true leaves. hence the split pea (it spilts into two)

the daisy is a diocot. any more questitons mention me.
