If your great-great-grandmother was an American Indian are you considered an Indian and what percentage?

Presuming that there is no other Indian blood in the lineage, you would be 1/16th American Indian. Whether or not you would be legally considered an Indian, depends on which tribe your G-Grandmother was enrolled in. All tribes have different requirements that would-be members need to meet for enrollment; including a minimum blood quantum. Assuming your specific tribe accepts a minimum Indian blood quantum of 1/16 or more, and all other requirements are met for enrollment- then yes, you're legally Indian.

What actually occurs at a convergent boundary?

Subduction occurs, as one plate collides with another, the harder plate may force the other plate downwards and into the mantle. For example, when the Indian Plate collided with the Asian Plate, the harder Asian Plate forced the Indian into subduction. This forced the Asian Plate to be raised and the Himalayas were the result.

What makes an Asian?

By definition, anyone native to the continent of Asia is 'Asian'. The following 45 countries are in Asia:AfghanistanBahrainBangladeshBhutanBruneiCambodiaChinaEast TimorIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIsraelJapanJordanKazakhstanKorea NorthKorea SouthKuwaitKyrgyzstanLaosLebanonMalaysiaMaldivesMongoliaMyanmar (Burma)NepalOmanPakistanThe PhilippinesQatarRussiaSaudi ArabiaSingaporeSri LankaSyriaTaiwanTajikistanThailandTurkeyTurkmenistanUnited Arab EmiratesUzbekistanVietnamYemenThe common misconception that 'Asian' refers strictly to someone of Oriental origin or decent is a misnomer indigenous to the United States. In the United Kingdom, for example 'asian' is often used (equally inaccurately) to describe someone from the Indian subcontinent (ie Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi). Both of these uses of the word 'Asian' are inaccurate and may be considered patronising to the other nationalities and races of the world's largest, most populous and most diverse continent.
