Cubans are just that, Cubans. There is no such thing as a Latino race. A Latino/Hispanic person is someone who is from a Spanish speaking country.

Actually in its broadest sense "Latino" or Latin includes all persons that originate from countries that speak languages derived from Latin, which includes: Spanish, French, Italian, Catalan, Basque, Portugese, Galacian and some others. The term "Hispanic" would be anyone who traces their roots to the Iberian Peninsula, which is made up of Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra

Cubans are first of all considered Cubans, the are also referred to as Hispanics, Latinos, and Spanish.

Well i was born in Cuba but my grandpa from my mother's side is of Spaniard parents and my grandma from my dad's side is of Spaniard parents. I guess we're definitely not latinos because we don't belong to south America we belong to the Caribbean. I'll consider myself Cuban Spanish.
