You need to do some guestimating and conversions to get close to an answer on this.

One cup of kibble weighs approximately 4 ounces. There are 16 ounces in 1 pound.

35 lbs x 16 ounces = 560

560 / 4 ounces in one cup of kibble = 140 cups

there are 16 cups in a gallon:

140 cups / 16 = 8.75 Gallons in a 35 lb of Dog Food (Kibble)

It would be about 2 gallons, a tad less. Pounds is a unit of mass/weight. Gallons is a liquid measure. They do not convert cleanly. The density of the liquid being measured can make a big difference. If the liquid is water, there is 8 pounds to a gallon.

It depends on the density, but typically, you would not convert something like (dry) dog food to gallons.

If you would need to put a bag(s) of animal food into a gallon tote, then yes, you would need to know the answer.😐🙄😐

The exact number of gallons in a 35 lb bag of dog food can vary depending on the density of the food. As a rough estimate, a 35 lb bag of dog food is roughly equivalent to 4.2 gallons.

You are comparing weight to volume. There is not direct conversion unless you have the density of the dog food.
