Answer I can only answer you from my own private perspective on this matter and that is that he went out with her, they have history and if he wants to be friends with her there should be a limit to his friendship, such as when you are with him, other than that if it were me, I'd tell the guy in question that if he wants to be friends with his ex then go to her and stay there. He isn't ready for a relationship with you or anyone else if he wants a friendship with an ex, but on the other hand you don't say how long they have been ex's. If it's a year or more you might want to be with him when he meets with her or kick him out, he's not worth your time, energy, and love.
