If you did not list it in your BK, you will be responsible for any outstanding balance that is not recouped in the auction. Yes. Secured property is not dischargeable in any bankruptcy filing. ------------------------------ If you included it in the bankruptcy, but just didn't reaffirm it, you won't be responsible for any balance.

What does POD mean on a payslip?

A P.O.D in a payslip stands for a payment on demand it means that if the employee had not recieved monies before on a previous paydate a manual cheque has been issued and this is showing this as being recouped. Eg Bill had been owed £500 for hours worked in february which he did not recieve at the end of Febrauary therfore he had been sent a manual cheque for £500. It will show this on the next paylip under POD this keeps tax and national insurance correct!

How does liability insurance work when the driver has an accident and kills a passenger due to drunk driving?

Barring any policy exclusions to the contrary, the driver would be held responsible (assuming they were at fault for the accident), and their Bodily Injury Coverage, (and perhaps medpay and pip, and some others) would cover this sensless death, up to the policy limit. More accident/loss details and I could perhaps assist you more.In the UK all drivers must have in place a valid policy of motor insurance which will cover injury or death to third parties as well as damage to third party vehicles. The motor insurance policy will pay for the fatality caused here, but terms of the insurance policy might allow the money to be recouped from the driver depending on the clause relating to excessive alcohol consumption. The driver would also face a criminal conviction. To read all about the different types of motor vehicle insurance see the related link entitled "accident car insurance" and to see the claims process following a fatal accident see the related link entitled "fatal accident".

What is the formula for a singer's royalties?

Unless the singer is also the songwriter of the music, the singer only gets royalties determined by a fixed percentage set at the time of a record deal from the record company. Pay comes after the record company has recouped their investment. Of course a singer can still be paid for performances, but this is not a royalty. http://www.knowthemusicbiz.com/index.php/BIZ-WIKI/Licensing-&-Royalties.html
