Probably not. Federal law prohibits felons from possessing firearms. Some states, like Washington, may allow it; but even they usually do not allow persons with violent felonies or drug related felonies to possess a firearm.

No. You were still charged with a felony, even if you pleaded down.

However, after a certain amount of time (years) you can, in most state, have a criminal record EXPUNGED......................

Added: The state of residence is not given. It's possible your state withholds CCW permits for certain misdemeanor offenses as well.

It is also possible the state in which charged also has EXPUNGEMENT proceedures, whereby one could have a clean record. check with prosecuters office in your state on the matter

no because you got convicted. After 7 years. The original charge was a Felony. What the DA does to "make a deal" does not negate the original charge unless it's expunged.
