unless there was a written cancellation charge disclosed at the beginning, and they never took deliver of the car you have to return the money. If the car was delivered meaning he bought it and you signed over the car, he has no "cooling off" period and therefore owes you the remainder of the monies immediately or you can "unwind" the car deal at your discretion not theirs and choose how much if anything you will give back. hope that helps imon my blackberry sry for any mispling.
