How long will it take to get 100 effaced and to labor when you are 37 weeks 80 percent effaced and 2 cm dialated with your first child and you don't know the baby's station but he is in position?
Answer . \nYOu won't know all you can do is stay hydrated and go for a walk. Walking speeds up the process. Or try some old wives tales like eating spicy food. Your body w…ill know when it the best time. Some people pop at 37 weeks, that is there done time.. Answer . \nIt can take days to weeks. It just depends on how your body dialates. I was in labor for 37 hours fully effaced and only dialated to three cm. with my first child. I ended up with a c-section. It wasn't to bad just as painful as labor. GOOD LUCK
I am 36 weeks. I am 2cm dilated and 75 percent effaced. I want to know about inducing labor with castor oil?
Inducing before 39 weeks is dangerous for your baby, who would be born a preemie. Don't do it.
Will labor come soon if you are 38 weeks ad 2 cm dialated but not effaced and you have lost your mucus plug?
Answer . \nEspecially if this is your first pregnancy, your body could take an unpredictable amount of time to get ready for labor. Generally, loss of the mucus plug mean…s labor will start soon, but it could still be several days or more. It is not uncommon for a woman to be 2cm dilated for at least a few weeks at the end of pregnancy.
If you are 38 weeks and 50 effaced with no dialation and contractions at 3 min apart when do you know when actual labor begins?
Answer . Are your contractions regular, meaning, have they been 3 mins apart now for the last hour? If they have been I would say your in labor and to go to the hospital.…
Im 36 wks almost 37 wks pregnant what does 1 centimeter dialated and 75 effaced mean and how soon can i go into labor?

Im pregnant with my second child now and i go for my 37wk check-up in two days and ive been dilated at 1 since 36 wks!! Good Luck with everything the baby will come when hes ready the more active you stay the better it helps him come along and sex helps too theres protein in the sperm that thins out your uterus so go grab your hubby and enjoy while you can!!!!
You are 38 weeks pregnant and 1 cm dialated 50 effaced Would it be ok to take castor oil for induction?
I would recommend not taking anything without talking to your doctor first. If they want to induce you, they will give you medicine in the hospital. One way to "naturally" ind…uce yourself is to have intercourse (it works for some people!!).
How long before I go into labor if I am 3 weeks pregnant with an incompetent cervix 90 percent effaced but not yet dialated?
if you are 3 weeks pregnant, and your effaced 90% i'd say that you need to go get that checked out? 3 weeks prego means you have ur entire 9 months left to go!! if you go into… labor soon, you probably wont be delivering a fullterm healthy baby
If this is 1st pregnancy, you have awhile yet. If not your first, almost.
I am 37 weeks with my first 3cm dialated and 75 effaced doctor said anytime now if I want to have her is fine but that if I don't I should go on Bed rest is she just being dramatic?
It's better to deliver a baby closer to full term whenever possible. Sometimes nature wants the baby to come early, and that's fine. However, 37 weeks is in fact full term, so… you can indeed deliver at any time and it's OK. Your baby is full term. However, you should confirm that you are actually 37 weeks (full term). Could it be that bed rest was recommended because you're actually not 37 weeks? Please call your doctor and check. In any case, follow your doctor's advice--whatever it is.
\nIt will start when it will start. Sometimes stripping membranes will speed up the process, but not in any predictable fashion.\n. \nWomen's bodies seem to be hard wired (g…enetically) for a given gestational period (how long she stays pregnant). A normal gestational period for the human species is 37.5 to 42 weeks, but most women tend to deliver about the same time with each pregnancy.
I am 37 weeks pregnant i am 2cm dilated 75 effaced last wk i was 1 cm my cervix was just soft when will labor start i think i lost my mucus plug this morning?
If you lost your plug, you should contact your ob/gyn right away, and make plans to go to the hospital. Congratulations!
Losing a mucus plug can occur several weeks before you actually deliver. It is not a sign of labor or pending labor. You will know when your contractions are true when they …don't let up upon resting or after walking. Try taking a warm bath or shower to relax. When your contractions are every 5 minutes lasting at least a minute for an hour, then you will want to contact your doctor.
If I am 38 weeks 2cm dilated 80 percent effaced baby's head is engaged I am nauseated and have been having loose stools for the past few days How much longer till I go into labor?
I am 39 weeks and 3 days Im a good 2.5 cm and 80 percent effaced. your baby could come in a day or 10 days....it all comes down to when baby wants to come he/she will come. yo…u could dialate from a 2 to 5 over night.....or you could be a 2 for 2 more weeks...there is no way of telling. Your best bet to help you along the way is sex. Seamen has patosin in it which is the same thing doctors use to induce labor. but of course its a much smaller dose. Also walking helps because while your up walking around gravity is pulling the baby down further and further!. be patient!!! and know your baby cant stay in there forever!!!!=) it'll be soon!. Seman has prostoglandins in it which is what is used in the hospital to soften/ripen your cervix. Your cervix is normally a solid muscular structure. When your cervix starts to soften(ripen), elongate, and thin, this is effacement. Pitocin is the synthetic form of your body's natural hormone called oxytocin which is released from the brain in response to certain triggers, such as nipple stimulation. Pitocin is used to initiate contractions in the uterus to induce labor. I am pregnant with my first, and I am 36 weeks + 5 days, just had an appointment this moring, and I am 2cm dilated, and 50% effaced and my midwife told me that I probably wouldn't make it to my next appointment or my due date. I am going to physically prepare for an early delivery, but am mentally shooting for my due date. Babies come when babies want to come. You can help yourself by staying active unless your doctor says otherwise, and of course having sex with your honey.
You are 38 weeks 3-4cm dilated 75 percent effaced babys head is station 2 plus and just lost your mucus plug are you close to labor?
That depends on how many other children you have. If this is your 1st or 2nd baby then you will probably deliver within a few hours to a day but if you have more children then… you could be dilated to 4cm for 1-2 weeks before going into labor.
Im 36wks and 3cm dialated but my cervix is not softened yet there is no sure way to get labor started your baby will come wgen it's good and ready!!
Sometime in the next three weeks ! Only 5 to 10 percent of babies arrive on their due date. It really should be called an approximate date! Doctors are still not sure what …the mechanism is that causes labor to start. They know it is the right combination of hormones, causing contractions that will thin out the cervix to 10cm, and then cause the baby to be pushed down and out. But is it your body or the babies that trip the switch? They don't know. They know your body actually starts preparing for labor up to a month before you give birth. You may be completely unaware of what's going on --- or you may begin to notice new symptoms as your due date draws near. Here are some things that may happen in the weeks or days before labor starts: In a first labor the baby usually drops deeper into the pelvis before labor starts, but not always. When this happens you start feeling like it is easier to breathe, a little less pressure under your ribs. You may notice the baby is a little less active just before your labor starts too. If you have been having Braxton Hicks contractions, sometimes as true labor is getting close they become more painful, but the sign of true labor is the contractions keep coming no matter what you do, they become longer and stronger and closer together. A way to know the difference, drink a large glass of juice, take a shower, then lay down to take a nap. True labor is too painful to sleep through, but being dehydrated can cause contractions, being tense will make them more painful. So stay hydrated, stay relaxed and keep up on your rest. Over the last nine months a "plug" of thick mucus has sealed your cervical canal, some women notice white or pink tinged discharge as your cervix thins - shortly before you go into labor. The fact that your cervix is starting to dilate and thin out is a good sign that all is working as it should. Usually the bag of water your baby is floating in will not rupture until labor is under way, not always. It may break in a gush or may be a slow drizzle. But when it happens you should call your doctor or midwife, normally the fluid is clear; the presence of meconium, your baby's first stool, which is sometimes a sign of fetal stress and is important information to share. Note it it is thin and stringy or thick - yellow, green or brown. It's also important to let her know if the fluid looks bloody. If you think you may be in labor, but you aren't sure? Call - that's what the doctors are there for. If she can't tell over the phone she may have you go to the hospital to be checked, don't be upset if they send you home. Until you are in active labor home is the best place for you, you can relax, move around as you wish, bathe and eat light meals to keep up energy - all things usually deprived if you are delivering in a hospital. Walking, is also your friend, let gravity do some of the work for you. Any of the following are symptoms to share with the doctor, sooner rather than later: You have severe or persistent headaches, vision changes, intense pain or tenderness in your upper abdomen, abnormal swelling in your feet, legs, arms or face. You have vaginal bleeding (more than "just bloody show") constant abdominal pain vs contractions that come and go, or a fever. You notice that your baby is less active. Enjoy the last days of your pregnancy, it is something most of us only experience a couple times and most of us just want it to end at this point. But remember, this is a special time too. If you can get a manicure, pedicure and enjoy a nice soothing massage, now is the time. No telling when you will have a chance again.
