Absolutely. That's exactly what they do. My ex N tried to reestablish contact with me a few months after I dumped him and I wouldn't answer his calls or texts and he sent quite a few.
If you ex N does try to contact you ignore their calls or you will put yourself right back into the same situation.
Once he finds a new more exciting source of supply you will be devalued and discarded allover again so do yourself a favor and don't answer that call.
