There have been a number of them, usually a form of superanimated or ( so-called Three Dimensional ( or 3D Cartoons- actually animated dolls or puppets giving a three-d effect, similar to Supermarionation, often incorrectly called Super-Animation. If done right, these things have considerable depth of presentation. Commercials for Chocks Vitamins made abundant use of this with an animated talking stuffed Panda Bear reciting a poetic sales pitch- but that's another story. Peter Rabbit has been adapted to the screen in this ( Three D Cartoon-like ) form.
