Short answer:
No
If you care why:
A GS750 motor will not fit into a GS550 frame with out major frame modification. I have a '77 GS550 and a '78 GS750 (there is no major difference in models during these years), I measured my 750 and compared it to the GS550's frame. You MIGHT get the 750 in height wise, but the motor is too long to fit with out extending the frame. To do this you would also have to change the mounting position of the fuel tank rearwards to meet with the seat again, the wire harnesses also may have to be torn apart and lengthened. In my opinion it would be easier to seek a rolling GS750 chassis, mine has dual disc brakes in the front and one in the back. I believe the '77 GS750 had one disc in the front and one in the back, whereas the GS550 uses a drum.
Suzuki produced the GT750 between the years 1971 and 1977. It launched in Japan in September 1971 and it's last model, the GT750B, was produced in 1977.
If the frame is original the id will be on the downtube of the frame. The engine id should be on the top of the block.
The frame engine mounts need to be moved and the headers need to swaed with the 350.
Richard Frame died on 1977-02-24.
Yes
The 1977 to 1990 are all 3rd generation and they all should have the same frame.
The VIN number is on the neck of the motorcycle frame, i.e. where the handlebars are attached to the frame. This is true of many different models of bikes. While sitting on the bike, it is on the right side. This is easy to locate but do not confuse the VIN number with the engine number.
Ivor the Engine ended in 1977.
it's right behind the headlight on the frame.
While the bolt ons are the same the frame itself is different in the side profile. These vintage pickup frames dip down for the cab floor only, then slope up below the seat and bed. The Suburban frame dips down from the front floor all the way back to the rear axle. Wheelbase is different too.
The engine is a 1977 model
The power of the engine and the maximum speed of the 1977 Ford Ranchero are 260 hp and 96 mph respectively.
