Will castor oil work if your cerixcal length is 1.5cm and you are at 37 weeks?

No I have 5 kids and NEVER went into labor naturally, I tried castor oil several times and it did not work. If you are 2 cm already walking will work!! It might not work right away but do it everyday twice a day and it should get u going maybe slowly maybe faster but it will work!

I will be 38 weeks pregnant in 2 days. The doctor said that I was already dilated to 3 and that I wouldn't probably go until my induction date of the 21st (39 weeks) but I tried the castor oil thing and it was really weird not to say one of the nastiest things I've ever swallowed in my life. i first tried 2 tablespoons, then the next day i tried 4 tablespoons, the next day i drank 4 ounces of the stuff, and I got nothing at all. No labor pains, no contractions, no nothing. I think that I is pure coincidence if someone goes into labor after drinking castor oil. If your body is not ready, then it won't do anything but put a bad taste in your mouth. Your baby will come when he/she is ready, the longer you wait, the more of the chance is, your baby will be happy and healthy. So if drinking over a half bottle didn't make me go into labor, i don't think it will do any good to even try it. Your baby will come when it's ready. BE Patient! and good luck :)

Don't take castor oil. It won't put you into labor, you'll go into labor when your body is ready. Castor oil will give you agonizing diarrhea...you'll be sorry you'd ever taken it.
