Best Answer

because in case of solid state of matter no diffusion,effusion like gases and no evaporisation and flow of some part like liquids occurs so the concentration of solid remian constant.

FOR EXAMPLE;

IF YOU HAVE THREE THINGS PLACED AT THE SAME FLOOR ,WATER,A STONE,PERFUME YOU WILL SEE AFTER SOME TIME THAT DUE TO PROCESS OF EVAPORATION ,AND DIFFUSION THE CONCENTRATION OF WATER AND PERFUME IS SOMEWHAT DEGREESED WHILE THE CONCENTRATION OF STONE IS SAME so we can say that concentration of solid remains constant.

How do you derive pH values for weak acids?

Every acid has a constant, called the acid dissociation constant(or Ka), which shows how much the acid dissociates to form ions in water.For an acid, the general dissociation equation is:HA -------> H+ + A-Ka = (concentration of H+) times (concentration of A-) divided by (concentration of HA)The values for concentrations are the values AT EQUILIBRIUM, where the concentrations of all three substances remain the same.If HA was a strong acid, it would completely(or almost completely) ionize in water to form its ions. Therefore, you can say that the concentration of H+ ions in the solution equal the concentration of HA. From this, you can calculate the pH by using the formula pH = - log (H+).If HA was a weak acid, however, things would be different. The acid only partially ionize in water, so you cannot say that the concentration of H+ is equal to the concentration of HA.If you know the value of the acid dissociation constant, you can easily find the concentration of H+ in the solution, and in turn calculate the pH.You know that the amounts of H+ and A- are equal. If you know the concentration of the acid HA you put in, you can calculate the H+ .

What happens when you halve the resistance in a circuit when voltage remain constant?

Since resistance is the ratio of voltage to current, we can say that halving the resistance will result in twice the current.

Would it be easier to separate solutions of gases or solids?

i would say solids but it depends on how good youare with solids or gases. hope this helps :)

How do solids usually behave when heated?

Their volume increases - that is to say, the solids expand. However, their mass stays the same.

An object has initial velocity in the upward direction a final velocity in the downward direction and undergoes constant acceleration What can you say about its average acceleration?

If, as you say, its acceleration is "constant", then the average is exactly equal to that constant.

What Is a constant speed?

When the speed of an object remains the same - it does not increase or decrease - we say it is moving at a constant speed.

How can you say the sentence the man moves at constant speed in constant direction?

"The man's acceleration is zero." "The man's motion is uniform." "The man's velocity is constant."
