airplanes and zeppelins were used during this war by putting bombs in this planes called zeppelins to attack other countries, from the germans. Whilst this is correct, the reason for use differs. Zeppelins were already in use by the German army at the outbreak of WW1. Initially the Germans looked to use seaplanes to attack England, until these were utilised on the Eastern front instead. Zeppelins could carry a higher payload of incendiary devices than the early planes. Zeppelinitus was already in play prior to the war and,by utilising them during the war, the Germans hoped to break down the British. With time, the frailities of the Zeppelins were exposed, being highly combustable as they used so much gas to be able to fly. The allies developed their planes to attack the Zeppelins with high success rates. The cost, in both lives and monetary terms, became too great to keep the zeppelins in the air and the Germans eventually turned to the infamous WW1 bomber, the Gotha.
A zeppelin is a lighter-than-air vehicle which has an internal frame. Bags are used to hold hydrogen or helium to provide lift. These differ from dirigibles, which have no internal frame, and are simply a large gas bag. The Hindenburg was a zeppelin which crashed and burned at Lakehurst, New Jersey.
AnswerThe Hindenburg was the ulitmate of zeppelin designs built as a propoganda tool for the Nazi leader Hitler. It crashed in 1937, just prior to WW2. The US Navy had built Zeppelins before WW2 but the idea was scraped after several accidents. Now, in 2000, designers are again studying ways to use "airships" to carry passengers and cargo.See the link below
They were used in World War I by the Germans only, as bombers and for reconnaissance purposes; since their size and slow maneuvering speeds rendered them as easy targets for the ennemy, they were dropped and replaced by smaller and quicker aircrafts, such as bombers.
Zeppelins were used by the Germans as bombers, overseers of the land to know whats going on below, and to deliver supplies.
They were used as bombers in the early days and were a part of the London blitz of ww1 not the ww2 blitz. then bomber planes were used and Zeppelin's were not needed
Mainly for Recon, as were planes, although towards the middle and end of the war they began mounting weapons on planes and the Blimps and Zepplins became practically useless.

World War 2. The Allies had it, and the Axis did not.
No- it was first used in 1915- World War I. See link below-
No. Poison gas was first used in World War 1.

Zeppelin. The Americans used them mostly forreconnaissance and minesweeping. Zeppelin is actually the word that the Germans used for an airship, but it is the only word related to WWII that starts with z.
Germany banned sausage making for the most of the duration of World War 1 because they needed the cow intestines. The intestines were used to make Zeppelin.

==Zeppelin Airships== They were called Zeppelins, after their designer Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin.
The zeppelin was a German aircraft that was filled with helium, which was used to spy on opposing countries in the war as well as to drop bombs on later, however the zeppelin was found to be very impractical once airplanes obtained the technology to holster guns since they could easily be shot down. They weren't a major aspect of the war but it helped Germany later advance on to creation of new aircraft.
