Well first there was a fire on the ship before people started boarding, but that wasnt too bad and didnt cause much damage at all, but then it hit the iceberg and sank, which is pretty unfortunate, and many people died or were drowned and trapped in the ship as the water came in, so i dont think there is just one reason for all of those casualties, and im pretty sure it wasnt cursed, so this question is pretty much unanswerable
