Molly brown got that name beacuse she helped save hundreds of people from the titanic on to a boat to get to land. Sadly she did not get all of the people on the titanic beacuse there was to many and there wan't alot of boats.

∙ 10y agoGoing by Margaret or "Maggie", she was also called the "Unsinkable Molly Brown" due to her efforts in helping the passengers evacuate from the Titanic, then later taking an oar herself on the lifeboat to go back and attempt to save the people in the water. Quartermaster Robert Hichens was in charge of the lifeboat, and disagreed with her on making such a rescue. Reports aren't clear if they did decide to go back, and if so, if they rescued anyone.
